Annual Fund Drive
The Annual Fund is the YMCA’s most important fund raising vehicle and is crucial to the YMCA’s economic stability. Most YMCA members are surprised to find that membership dues and program fees do not cover the cost of operating the YMCA. Membership dues and program fees cover approximately 70% of the cost to operate the YMCA.
Our Annual Fund Drive efforts are designed to:
- Solicit charitable gifts to bridge the gap between membership and program income and the actual cost of operating the YMCA.
- Solicit charitable gifts for membership and program scholarships provided to those individuals and families in financial need.
- Solicit charitable contributions for capital improvements to the YMCA facility and grounds.

YMCA Heritage Club
The YMCA Heritage Club is comprised of individuals and families who create a lasting legacy through a direct gift or a planned gift to benefit the YMCA’s Endowment Fund. The Heritage Club simply requires a commitment, now or in the future, to ensure the YMCA programs are accessible to the people who need them most for generations to come.
Planned gifts include bequests, making the YMCA a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement fund, gifts of real property, and gifts that create income and reduce tax during one’s lifetime.

Buy a Brick Campaign
Recognize a loved one, relative, or friend in a special way and benefit the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
You are invited to purchase a commemorative brick which will become a permanent part of the Lima Family YMCA. These personalized bricks will be prominently displayed in the entrance walkway of the building.
These 4 x 8 inch bricks can be imprinted with up to three lines of text, with a maximum of 20 characters per line (including spaces, punctuation marks and symbols.) The cost for a personalized brick is $150 and is tax deductible.
By purchasing a brick you will be supporting the YMCA Annual Support Drive which provides scholarships for membership and programs, ensuring everyone can participate regardless of ability to pay. Your involvement will leave an enduring symbol of your support of the YMCA’s mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
